Questions

I’m not involved with SFC, can I still come?

OH YEAH! You definitely can! The conference is open to anyone who wants to learn more about SFC and snowboard/ski ministry. Register as normal and we will be stoked to see you at the conference!

Will we be shredding?

Yes! We will have lift tickets for two days during the conference.

Do I have to pay for a lift ticket?

Tickets are included in the price of the conference. While we want to accommodate every one we also want to make sure that everyone gets the best value that they can. We believe that adding this activity to the schedule will only enhance the time for everyone. If you can’t make it to this activity we ask that you still pay the full amount. This extra money that you pay will go to our Conference Scholarship fund! If you absolutely can’t afford the cost then go ahead and fill out or Conference Scholarship application. Thanks so much for your kindness!

What should I bring?

Yourself
Clothing – Typical November shredtown attire (with New England Arctic twist) – Canadians, you already know what to wear.
Swim wear – There are pools and hot tubs in the hotel you won’t want to miss out on.
Shred Gear – You’re choice of sliding device(s) and outerwear
Bible/Note Pad/Pen
Spending Money – We’ll be headed out to eat for one meal or two over the course of the weekend that you’ll be expected to pay for.
A Friend – There is plenty of space and you can probably think of someone else who needs to hear about this.

I can only make it to one day, can I do that?

Of course! Register as normal and choose only one day at the payment.

I’m a local and don’t need to stay at the hotel, do I still have to pay $259?

Nope! Just tell us in the correct spot on the registration form and you’re all set.

I have a family. Are there accommodations for us?

We really want families to be able to come, learn, and have a good time together without costing you a boat load. Kids ages 4-15 will cost $159 and will stay in the room with you. Family rooms will have 1 king size bed and 1 couch, so you’ll have your own space but plan accordingly. There is no additional charge for kids 3 and under. We would love to have your whole family there!

Some of the speaker sessions will have child care available so they can do something fun for them, and you can focus on what you’re learning.

I’m coming with my spouse and want a private room, how much will that cost?

That’s great! There will be no additional charge for that this year. Just register and we can make that happen.

Does SFC make a lot of money on this conference?

No. The SFC International Office plans to spend extra money each year to make sure the conference can happen. Registration costs only cover a good chunk of our actual costs in putting it together.

I can’t afford it at all. Is there still hope for me?

YES! There is still hope! If money is the ONLY reason you can’t make it out the conference then please fill out this form. The scholarship is need based and every application will be considered on an individual basis.
