If you love to ski and snowboard or you live in a community that has lots of people that do and you’d like to see that culture transformed by the love of Jesus then this conference is for you! This conference is for young people, old people, and everyone in between. This conference is for park rats, ski racers, and weekend warriors. This conference is for SFC chapter leaders, pastors of churches in ski towns, and grandpas that like to ski. In short, if you’re reading this there’s a good chance this conference is for you.
We’re crafting this long weekend in Lincoln, New Hampshire to be a shot of energy heading into the winter season. OH YEAH! You definitely can! The conference is open to anyone who wants to get involved with or learn more about snowboard/ski ministry. Register and we will be stoked to see you at the conference!
Who will be speaking?
We work hard to craft a line-up of industry experts, pastors, church pros, and more that will help you learn to make disciples of Jesus in your town.
Will we be shredding?
Yes! But only if you want to. Loon Mountain is usually open late November. If there is no snow, there are plenty of other awesome things to do in the White Mountains.
Do I have to pay for a lift ticket?
Discounted lift tickets will be available. While we want to accommodate everyone we also want to make sure that everyone gets the best value that they can. We believe that adding this activity to the schedule will only enhance the time for everyone. If you absolutely can’t afford the cost then go ahead and fill out or Conference Scholarship application. Thanks so much for your kindness!
What should I bring?
- Clothing: Typical November shredtown attire – Canadians, you already know what to wear.
- Swim wear: There are pools and hot tubs in the hotel you won’t want to miss out on.
- Shred Gear: You’re choice of sliding device(s) and outerwear. (Optional)
- Spending Money: We’ll be headed out to eat for one meal or two over the course of the weekend that you’ll be expected to pay for.
- A Friend: There is plenty of space and you can probably think of someone else who needs to hear about this.
I can only make it to one day, can I do that?
Of course! Register as normal and choose only one day at the payment.
I’m a local and don’t need to stay at the hotel, do I still have to pay $319?
Nope! Just tell us in the correct spot on the registration form and you’re all set.
I have a family. Are there accommodations for us?
We really want families to be able to come, learn, and have a good time together without costing you a boatload. Kids ages 4-12 will cost $159 and will stay in the room with you. There is no additional charge for kids 3 and under. We would love to have your whole family there!
Many speaker sessions will have child care available so the kids will have something fun for them, and you can focus on what you’re learning.
I’m coming with my spouse and want a private room, how much will that cost?
That’s great! There will be no additional charge for your own room. If this doesn’t work for you, then it is possible to book your own room with the hotel with our discount. This won’t be included in your conference fee so make sure you select the no lodging option in registration. You can reserve a room at the hotel by calling The Mountain Club directly.
Will there be child care at the conference?
Yes. There is child care provided during the main conference sessions and some of the other times as well. We will publish a schedule a few weeks before the conference that has the child care times for your planning purposes. There will also be an effort to coordinate evening times with parents to make the conference experience better in the evenings.
Does SFC make a lot of money on this conference?
No. The SFC Support Office plans to spend extra money each year to make sure the conference can happen. Registration costs only cover a good chunk of our actual costs in putting it together.
I can’t afford it at all. Is there still hope for me?
YES! There is still hope! If money is the ONLY reason you can’t make it out the conference then please fill out this form. The scholarship is need based and every application will be considered on an individual basis.
