With over 10′ of snowfall before Christmas this year, some resorts and backcountry zones in New England are in full force.
The Northeast is deeply rooted in sliding on snow, sometime for over 6 generations. In the early 1900s, people were exploring the mountains and building huts to access good skiing. By the 1930s, government sponsored efforts in a post-war era kept veterans active and employed by building ski trails that we still use today. Fast forward to modern day and New England + New York hold the highest volume of resorts per-state in the Nation. New York has over 40 current and running resorts in 2018). Shredding is what we do here, what our parents did, and what our grandparents did.
The Northeast Region of SFC in partnership with Loon Mountain Ministry invite you to join the northeast as we gather to share, inspire, encourage, and grow God’s movement of reaching hearts in this snowsports culture and these communities in New England, New York, and Eastern Canada.
Not to be confused with the SFC North American Conference in November 2019 in NH, this event will take place at Loon Mountain Resort this March as a way to connect the entire region to serve as a greater family. There are many partner organizations to SFC, local churches, resort operations, college ministries, and countless individuals serving the shred culture in their own way.
Do you know anyone in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, or Eastern Canada who loves Jesus and loves snow?
